The listing, mytouch slide 3g !!! white (for repair) has ended.

OK up for grabs today is a mytouch slide 3g in white!!! This comes with the battery and turns on and the buttons light up. However the screen does not turn on. Easy fix in the right hands for a great phone. Its used condition the outter screen has no cracks. Thank you all and happy bidding!!!!!!! Good luck to you

Not too bad. Probably about $25-35 on ebay., depending on whether you buy just the LCD or a parts phone from ebay and swap the pieces.

Like I said, the winning bidder may get lucky enough to just have to plug the cable back in. If it is damaged, then a new one is about $10-15 on ebay.

Fairly easy repair,just a little time intensive for someone unfamiliar. There are plenty of guides available online to walk you through it.

If there is no image appearing on the screen but you still have lights and vibration when you power it on, you have one of two issues.

The LCD display stopped functioning, which would be rare without physical damage of some sort, but can still happen.
-- or --
A damaged/unconnected flex cable, which links the top portion of the phone to the bottom. With sliding phones in general, as well as this model in particular, this is a fairly common occurrence.

I would put money on the second option, which if you are lucky could be remedied as easily as inserting tab A into slot B, to put it simply. Had I been on the site recently and had any credits, I'd use the GIN.

O i was saying why your touch screen doesnt work. Its because the digitizer died out. It happens on iphones and ipod touches frequently. Its a cheap fix. Its more difficult to get the phone apart and back together correctly, then it is to do the actual digitizer swap out. But the replacement part is $10 on ebay and the video instructions are on YouTube, just do a search for "phone name/model" + Digitizer.

Hmmm, probably just needs a new digitizer, which isnt super hard. Hardest part is taking the phone apart and putting back together properly. That can sometimes go well, or fail miserably. This is a good phone if you develop Android apps like im learning to do. This is one of the google developer phones, theres about 7 models that are dev phones to test your apps on properly.
