I used this to make my I pod a universal remote control for my tv's but I no long have my I pod touch. Here the instructions
The app is available for a free download from the Apple App Store (on iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad devices) as well as the Android Market.

Download the Tata Sky Mobile Access App using any of the two options:
a) Click here to visit the iOS app download page or click here to visit the Android app download page
OR
b) Search for 'Tata Sky Mobile Access' in theiTunes Store/Android Market and download the App.

Ensure you get the MP3 Mobile accessory in order to use your device as a Universal Remote.

Ensure that your phone is connected to the Internet.

Plug the MP3 Mobile accessory into the audio jack (headphones socket), and open the Tata Sky Mobile Access App.

Ensure the volume of the headphones is set to maximum, whilst using the app.

Point the MP3 Mobile accessory that is connected to your phone towards the Set Top box /TV/ DVD or Amplifier, in order to use the app as a universal remote.

You plug the devices in to headphones. I dont believe it will work with Android.

I found the instructions for the devices and they say you can use it on android phone but I have not try ed to use it on mine android.

it's weird how it plugs into the headphone jack, most IR plug-ins plug onto the the charger port
