I'm going to guess and say it's close to 5 skeins of yarn. As far as "ply" goes, I thought that pertained to toilet paper?!? Ha ha, let me check and get back with you. It's an amazing deal for such exquisitely made, high quality yarn. The only reason it's going is because I do not crochet or knit.

I was told that the bulk of the yarn looked like it was 80% Fine Merino Wool/ 20% Cashmere.

And the black was brought back by my aunt from her trip to Norway.....assuming it's alpaca/wool......always organic.
