The listing, Vintage Hand Etched Brass Elephant Claw Bell With Base Made in India has ended.

This auction is for a brass claw bell with base with etching in the brass.
The music is low and soothing..the clappers seem to be made of lead which produce a low and soft sound.

The bell is marked "India" and the other writing I can't read.
There are no dents or chips to this bell.
I have cleaned it but I have not messed with the natural patina on it. I've seen that some people prefer to leave it as found.
It measures about 2 3/4" high and 3" across the base.

I read that these kinds of bells were used for certain ceremonies. There is lots of info on the internet.
This will be a nice bell for your collection.

very intriguing. do you pick it up and ring it or is it like a hotel bell where you push on the top? It looks like you ring it.
