These massive vintage earrings reach down to the shoulders and are definitely a statement piece. They are made of light, thin, mixed metals so they don't weigh much and won't rip your ears off. These will get you noticed at your next concert, rave, or 1980s party. But I do recommend brushing some clear nail polish on the hooks if you are allergic to "fashion" jewelry. These sat in my jewelry stash for years because I didn't have the guts to wear them. Hopefully some fashion leader will give them a good home.

these are like something I would wear back when i was a teen in the 80's. the wilder and the bigger the better. and I still like the wild and big earrings.

Exactly. In the 80s, earrings were made to command attention, like a hat or a fascinator. And back then, many of the pop stars were so covered in studded belts and chains that Cyndi Lauper joked that she needed a bolt cutter to get undressed.

I know I wanted to dress like her and Madonna, and Janet Jackson, and Paula Abdul. and most of the woemn back then. the skin tight stretch pants and a very big shirt with and hip belt, a pair of flat shoes or ankle boots and the weirdest and biggest earrings and the big hair or very short hair like Pat Benatard (sorry if i misspell her name).
