I hollowed this one out by making a hole in the rear facing side and scooping the seeds out, will make a nice bird house after it dries and hardens. Or a frog hut or interior / exterior decor. They sold at a local farm stand, FAST...

I see these sell at farm stands whole, right from the field, from $4.00 to $7.00 , decorated, they go for quite a bit more... dries and hollowed, even more - especially if painted...There are many techniques that can be looked up for crafty things to do with these, how to dry, clean etc... or just sell them as you harvest them.

Too many times i have received seeds from well meaning traders , who put seeds in little zip bags, airtight. AND
Moisture from the seeds, (whether they were dry or not dry enough) , had molds starting inside those little zip bags by the time they were delivered to me..
so,
paper is best for seeds.... if I use plastic, it will not be airtight...
