Description

The listing, DOUBLE RED HIBISCUS LIVE PLANT has ended.

1st image is of the bloom and 2nd image is of the rooted cuttings. Full or part shade. Zones 9-10 and elsewhere protect or bring inside over the winter. Soak roots for several hours and plant at previous depth. Will do better if kept out of the sun for about 2 weeks after planting and water daily but needs good drainage. I only ship live plants on Mon and Tue. Payment can be made to sue7jax@windstream.net

I know better than to ask this, but how certain are you of the zones you have listed? I am ALMOST certain that we have hibiscus all over Arkansas, zone 7b in our case. I checked several listings on the internet and found different nurseries stating zones ranging from 4 to 9. I realize there are probably different species, but just wondered if you are certain about the zones.

I am in zone 8 b and mine that are planted in the ground come back each year but are slow and they might not bloom each year. When I bring then inside for the winter then they bloom every year. So it just depends on where you live and how many days and nights of cold you have. You are right different sites will list different zones and different hibiscus react differently to climate changes. I have a double blooming peach that may or may not bloom each year but it's a young plant. Several business in town have the same plant but much older then mine and there's are beautiful each year and full of blooms. If you are uncertain then put 3 times the amount of mulch in the winter to help protect the roots.

I am in zone 5 but would like to grow this as an indoor plant. Can I do this or will it survive as an indoor potted plant?
