Up for consideration is a vintage to antique Indonesian rod puppet. This puppet is hand painted and hand carved. She has a lovely metal floral brooch. Her arms and hands are jointed and tied together with string. There are long sticks attached to her hands so that her arms can be moved during a puppet show. She does NOT have her wooden rod that would be used to hold her during a performance, but she displays beautifully. She is in overall good condition, but is missing some paint on her nose, and she also could use a bit of a cleaning. There is also a brown stain on toward the bottom of her dress (see photos) which is not visible from the front. She is 24" long from the top of her tiara to the bottom of her skirt. Her head is approx. 3" wide and her brooch is 1.75" wide. This is a lovely old puppet that needs a new home.
