There is a plant called "Magic Lily". Early in the spring, leaves come up, then die off, and suddenly spikes shoot up with a single purple bloom with no leaves. I don't know genus, etc.

Mine do NOT grow from a bulb. They are a normal rooted perennial plant. Looks very close to the Magic Lily but not from a bulb.
