I loved this flower! The blooms lasted till frost and they looked pretty even after they started to die. A great border plant , stays small yet bushy.
A big pinch of seeds, I am not counting the seeds out but you will get 20 plus...


Xeranthemum annuum is an annual that performs well in poor, dry soil and in full sun. It will bloom nearly all summer and give a wonderful display of color. Commonly, it is called Immortelle, and this mix has shades of white, pink and violet colored flowers that measure 1 ½ inches across. The plant reaches 24 inches in height and is marvelous in the summer border where it blooms continuously. Immortelle are popular for drying, and they make wonderful everlasting flowers for use in arrangements. In the spring, start the seed directly outdoors after danger of frost has passed. Press the seed into the soil, cover the seed with 1/16 inch of soil, and keep it moist. With a temperature of 70F, germination is normally within 14 days. Space plants 15 - 18 inches apart.
