Description

The listing, Dwarf Peach Tree Seed has ended.

This is a tester auction to see if people are interested.

I am offering one pit from one of my dwarf trees. This is a Dwarf Peach Tree. These grow about 4 to 6 feet tall. They are self pollinating so you will get fruit. They grow outdoors in zones 5 to 8. However due to their size, they make good container plants and can be brought indoors for the winters.

This was just picked off my tree when I ate a peach. So it is a fresh seed.

It will begin producing fruit by the third year generally. How fast it grows will be determined if you grow it in the ground or a large pot. Other factors too such as fertilizing it ect.

Ok, as a country boy (many years ago!) I should know the answer to my question, but I don't!!! Do you just plant the seed (pit), or crack it first, or??????

You crack it first. Otherwise you might be waiting years for the shell to rot open.

LOL ... I was wondering if you crack it first. I pick peach about 5 old peach pits out of my yard this spring. I guess they were in my compost... Peaches grow well in Texas. I'd like to grow one, but my yard is shaded.a dwarf tree would be perfect!
