That's a great question, lol. The box is sealed in plastic and unopened. It says on the back " The Labrador Outdoor Brand can weather the toughest emergencies and provide outdoors enthusiasts with trustworthy products they can rely on. The Fly-Tying kit with Expert Tips includes the materials necessary to create classic flies and celebrates the awesome beauty- and power- of nature." It cost $8.95 and I have no clue what you need to tie a fly, but they seem to believe what you need is in the box, lol.
To tie a fly takes hooks and feathers and thread and other different kinds of tools. LOL Too many to list. This would be great for a starter kit to see if it is a hobby someone wants to start. The tools needed are not cheep. This is an awesome gift idea!!
This would be a great starter kit , and would fit in a stocking. i don't fly fish myself, but have often looked at my assorted Bantams and other breed chickens and thought it would be fun to make some flies.I just have too many other hobbies, and my husband didn't want to do it, either.Maybe I'll throw in a few of my beautiful feathers to the winner if they want a few.
