Nice looking coin in good condition.

You are correct! The word cent is technically slang for 1 penny. Obviously the British call them pence, however, any of the 3 words, pence, cents, and penny, are all translated to the same meaning which is 1/100th. I use the word cent as it is easily recognized by all Americans to mean one penny. To me saying any
