The listing, Vintage Tin Sewing Kit has ended.
The sewing tin is a small 3 and 1/4", It has 6 small spools of gold and brown thread with a thimble in the middle. The top of the tin has flowers in the middle with a little banner that says Souvenir of Green----- Ohio. The writing is scratched off for the name of the town. I THINK it says Greenfield.
The little pin cushion I'm throwing in, looks like four little sumo guys holding the circle up. It seems to be made of silk.
These item DO come from a smokers home. If smoke bothers you, please do not bid.
WOAHHH I LOVE IT ! i just started sewing so i need as much supplies as possible ! it feels great to see this auction. watching, fanned and will be bidding :)
I'm sorry, but there are no needles or pins in the kit. I also don't know if the thread is usable or not. I know it's really old. It might still be good since the little tin is air-tight. I can put in some needles and pins if you win it, though.
it is Greenwich, Ohio it is jut a very small town. While centrally located in a major industrial district bounded by Mansfield, Akron, Cleveland and Toledo, Huron County is primarily an agricultural region, with about 80% of the land area in farms.
That is good to know. i wondered where it was. I was born in Ohio and lived there for 12 years around Bowling Green and Toledo. Glad to know. Thanks for the info.
