The listing, Davaar Island: 1976 - 12 Stamps Honoring the American Bicentenial - DIS-001-004 has ended.
Davaar Island: 12 Stamps Honoring the American BiCentennial with different Indian tribes featured on them. These stamps would be great conversational pieces as there were so few stamps issued by the Island. L523
Davaar Island or Island Davaar (Scottish Gaelic: Eilean Dà Bhàrr) is located at the mouth of Campbeltown Loch off the east coast of Kintyre, in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It is a tidal island, linked to the mainland by a natural shingle causeway called the Dhorlin near Campbeltown at low tide. Local stamps were issued for Davaar in the 1960s. The stamps served the many visitors to the island who wished to have their mail posted there, and carried by the boatman to the nearest GPO Post Box at Campbeltown on the mainland. The boatman service ended some time in the early 1970s.
Please ask your questions before you bid. Once you win the auction, the stamps are yours. No buyer's remorse accepted here.
Shipping is FREE within the United States. Please note, I need your verified address as soon as possible as I don't pull the winning auctions until I have it and if it goes too long, I will lose track of the auction. Please take a moment and do this for me. Thank you.
NOTE: It has come to my attention that I need to put the following foreign shipping rates and information on my listings: Shipping is $1.50 per stamp UNLESS you purchase at least 5 auctions/listings. At that time, shipping will be FREE. Any over 5 will so be shipped in the same package for FREE.
I will bill you with Paypal if there are LESS than 5 winnings at the time you are finished buying at the rate of $1.50 per auction/listing. When payment is received, your winnings will be shipped to your verified Listia address.
