The listing, 1967 CHRISTMAS SEALS SHEET OF STAMPS FOR DECORATION ON CARDS OR PACKAGES - VERY CUTE TRAIN DESIGN has ended.
1967 Christmas Seals Stamp Sheet showing a bright and cheery Christmas train.
These are not postage but are meant to be placed on cards and packages as a reminder to donate to the Christmas Seals fund.
Christmas Seals were first sold in 1907 in Delaware. At that time tuberculosis was the leading cause of death in the U.S. Over the years the organization (American Lung Association) spread out to include other lung diseases
They are a unique and nostalgic way to decorate your Christmas items. As a kid, I remember every Christmas card we received had Christmas Seals on them.
This is a full sheet of stamps. I included a second scan of a portion of the sheet hoping you can see the details.
Never used.
For the collector, these are "E," meaning they were printed by Eureka Specialty, Scranton, PA.
This was part of my late Father's stamp and seal collection.
They've been folded. I'll ship them folded in a standard sized envelope.
Thanks for looking!
