The listing, "FULL LIBERTY" 1825 SILVER CAPPED BUST HALF DOLLAR has ended.

This auction is for a Well Circulated 1825 Silver Capped Bust Half Dollar. This coin does Show a "Full Liberty" on the Obverse, but someone was not real happy with Liberty it appears, and did some "Etch Work" on her.

The scans above are of the actual item that you will receive, and are provided for you to determine the condition and/or grade of it.
I never clean or alter coins in any way, and do my best to allow you to see every detail and/or every blemish that the coins I list have, so that you can make an informed and confident bid.
I am no longer accepting GIN offers for my auctions, everyone now gets a shot at bidding.

Now that the holidays are over with, the Post Office has been doing a better job of getting packages to their destination in a timely manner, but not all of them. Some are still taking up to a week (or more) for no special or evident reason.
Just let it be known that all items will be sent the next available day after end of auction, for I actually go to the Post Office and pay the Postage and Tracking in person so that you will receive your item as soon as possible. I also check all Tracking numbers daily and will keep you informed of anything that is out of the ordinary.

I thank you for that. I would say that you should win an auction to verify what I say is true. just because I can say it does not mean it is true and that I have found to be true from quite a few people here on Listia.

Capped Bust Half Dollar ~~~~
John Reich designed this Capped head Concept of Liberty. The capped Bust style was used on most other silver coin denominations. He was the first artist to consistently include the denomination on U.S gold and silver coins !

I see that you know your coins. this one is a tough one to find in a decent condition. and as you may be able to see, since someone went to town on it with some sort of sharp instrument, I felt that the grade had to be dropped at least 1 level.
it is always sad to see a coin defaced like this one is, and for no real reason.
this is a very good starter coin that can fill a hole with an expensive coin for a very good price. good luck
