Birdwatchers often plant Trumpet/Hummingbird Vines to draw the tiny colorful hummingbirds.

Known to the Southeastern U.S., these plants can be grown in zones 4-9.

The plant commonly bear clusters of orange, reddish-orange or salmon color flowers throughout much of the summer.
Flowers are succeeded by 6-inch pods. This plant climbs trellises, arbors or fence if given the opportunity. It also drops it's own seeds in the fall, reseeding itself.

Growing Info:
Best to plant them in an area where they can climb/run, plant (about ¼ to ½ inch deep) in fall, allowing the seeds to overwinter and sprout in spring, or you can store the seeds until spring and sow them at that time.
