The listing, GATEWAY TOWER FOR PARTS has ended.
i have a gate way computer up for parts . it is old and runs but it is very slow. winner pays shipping. i got some info off the back it says gatewat (hv) MFATXPNT EL2 5OOSE 50/60HZ 249V SER NUMBER 0027091880 WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION
I need to know the SPECS on the computer. What kind of processor and how fast? How much RAM? How big is the hard disk drive? WHY are you getting RID of it? If it runs slow then....i'm not following you on here. I've been fixing computers for 25 years and the only slow computer is an INTEL pentium II, LOL!!!
it is very old and it loads up very slow it is breaking down i took it to get fixed and they said it is a matter of time before it breaks down and it is too expensive for me to fix it. they said it will cost just as much to get a new computer as it would to fix it.
You still haven't answered my question. Computers do NOT break DOWN. As long as the Motherboard is operational, everything in the computer can BE UPGRADED. I don't know who you're doing business with, but they obviously do NOT know what they are talking about. i bet, if I win this bid, I can trick it out and have it running FASTER than when it was first PURCHASED!! i've got skills like that!!!
you are probably right i usually get stuck with people who do not know what they are talking about lol . really there is nothing wrong with it it is real slow and the power button sticks bad and sometimes you hear the fan exstreamly loud and it shuts down. but if you can fix it go for it if you win good luck
lol just because the motherboard is operational doesn't mean anything. one its a older motherboard so not really much worth while in it. only thing you can do is throw some cheap parts and wipe the thing for web surfing. not good for much else as old as that thing is.
