FREE: Vintage GOLD? Cameo Locket W/Chain Very Pretty!

I came across this in a box that was sent to me from my Dad about a year ago (apparently it belonged to his Grandmother.)
It's approximately the size of a penny.
It is Very Pretty! I just don't know what I'd do with it.
I was told that it is gold, although this was not by a jeweler. It IS heavy, the clasp and hinges are very solid and it is not magnetic...
The Cameo face is ivory (I'm pretty sure.)
It's most definately an older, vintage piece.
Will come with the small gold chain that I originally found it on.
Wanting it to go to someone who will appreciate it... even if it's value is more than I'm listing it for. I don't have the resources to have it evaluated and it seems a shame to have it just sitting in my drawer collecting dust.
