Altoona, PA.. That's where my grandparents sent me to "behave " n get away from the urban jungle of Philly and sneaking down the jersey shore, little did they know I was destined for a full ride to "Old Main" PSU were the best 6 years of my life!! Hockey and swimming kept me partly out of trouble but bartending at the rathskeller, the best times of my life!!!!thanks for reliving those memories!!!,Sharon

Since ya said the Rathskeller I take it you were at the State College campus rather than the Penn State Altoona Campus....how cool!!!

I started grade school 25 miles north of Altoona at Westover Pa was only there a couple years then my family moved on up the line...we ended up way up on the Pa/Upstate NY border until I came here in my adult years 17 years ago....while living in Westover I recall my mom and my aunt discussing going into the city to do their shopping together, it was sounded mysterious to me being so young & all...LOL When I landed here in Altoona I finally knew what the meant by going into the city...it's no longer mysterious to me but now reality...LOL
