Description

The listing, Authentic Coach Purple, Silver, & Gold Mini Patchwork Purse with Real Leather, Suede, & Pony Hair has ended.

I am giving away this 100% genuine & authentic Coach purse. This purse is known a Coach mini patchwork purse. The Coach tag is included; however, the Coach logo is only stamped on one side of the tag (as is the case with all Coach mini purses...please see pics # 4 & 5). This purse has been verified as genuine on a website designed for such things, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the URL for the thread because it references a group. I don't think that it's against Listia's policies, but I don't want to get my auction removed if it is.

Anyway, this Coach purse is awesome! It has soft purple suede patches, purple C's patches, lavender patches with pink, purple, and silver C's, brown patent leather patches, and animal print (I think cheetah print) dyed pony hair patches. The pony hair patches are a little worn (see pics # 6 & 7). The front and back of the purse has patches! The inside of the purse is really clean (it has a few small dark spots, but they not very noticeable because the lining is purple...see pic # 8). The purse has no rips, fraying, or tears. The purse's measurements are approximately:

9" wide (taken at the widest point)
5.5" high (taken from the middle of the purse)
6" handle drop (taken from the tallest part of the handle to the middle of the purse).

Comes from a smoke-free, hairy pet-free home (I have a snake and gecko, but they can do no harm : ) ).

I will only ship to addresses that have been verified via Listia's shipping address rules (check out Listia rules: Shipping Addresses section or go directly to the form at: http://www.listia.com/account/addresses) & that have been sent to me directly through Listia (& not through e-mail), which can be done after the auction ends. If you are not willing to send me your shipping address directly through Listia, then I cannot ship this to you.

Shipping to US will be done via First Class mail & includes tracking & is FREE.

yes, my husband says i've got too many- have about 60 or so, in my collection, but i switch them out by swapping online or selling to resale shops. but then again he's got all his sneakers, jerseys, and electronics- i don't say anything, but men are funny that way, aren't they? woo hoo- fanned you, looking forward to seeing what else you list down the way. yes, there is much controversy when listing coach or dooney (seems like these are the most popular on this site), so it's best to always include the creed patches. people sometimes get motivated by badges to flag other people's stuff, too, so beware. some tips: i had to put a lengthy disclaimer because i was encountering some pretty rude people, and even almost decided to leave, but i stuck it out and still have positive feedbacks in the end; just block the problem people. if there is further harassment, you can always request help from the moderators.

Wow, I can't believe that ppl are that catty! I mean, I want to make sure that what I'm buying is genuine too, but I don't like to harass sellers because that's just wrong. If I see an auction that I think has a "problem", always contact the seller first to let him/her know. I don't like to flag auctions (actually, I don't really care if I ever earn the Flagging badge). Thanks for your warning! Now, I will always make sure that my Coach purses have been authenticated before posting them (just out of protocol).

i have this exact bag- it's called "Holiday Patchwork." My husband says it's ugly but it's quite unique and ideal to carry when you don't want to lug around a large heavy bag.

Thanks so much for your comment! I really appreciate it. Don't most men think purses are ugly and/or unnecessary and/or too large? My mom's boyfriend thinks that purses are the stupidest invention ever. Personally, I think that this purse is really unique and really pretty. The only reason why I'm giving it away is because I have, like, 200 purses (I'm not even kidding...if you came to my apartment and saw all of the purses that I had, you would probably make fun of me. I even have more in a storage unit! But, my storage unit is not all filled with purses, of course. It's mostly filled with my boyfriend's magazines, videos, and stuff). I will be giving away more of my purses, especially Coach purses! I promise! I am going to wait until after the holiday season to give them away, though, because I have too much going on right now to be listing a ton of purses. It takes me a while to put up an auction, esp. if I want to authenticate a Coach purse first (although, I know that all of the Coach purses that I list are genuine. I'm really good at being able to differentiate genuine Coach purses from fake ones. I just like to make sure that Listia bidders for my Coach purse auctions are also confident that my Coach purses are genuine).

Great bag, Just a quick heads up on the pony hair IF its real they are only allowed to use lrg animal skins from those that are already dead this is called "Live stock goods" in the trade, so none are being killed for the use of their skins. No Worries!

Yay! That's good to know. It's definitely real (Coach only uses real leather/suedes/pony hair/etc.), so then no ponies had to die to give up their hair. But, the leather & suede are also real.... Thanks for the info.!

The measurements are listed above. It's smaller than a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" paper. Um, I don't know what else to compare it to.... I would say take a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" paper, hold it long ways (like how Microsoft prints out documents in portrait format, if that makes sense), and then fold it in half. I would say that it's about that size or a little bigger.

If I don't win this bag and even if I do I really need a new coach bag preferably a bit bigger and more basic in blacks & possibly some grey. Mine is all blk on blk and I have really loved it but I've used it to death. LOL

Well, I hope that you win this one! I have an authentic black Coach purse that I'm thinking about listing that is bigger and has black lettering on a black background, but I'm hesitant to list it because it looks a little raggedy. The cloth has small pills/scratches in it on the sides. I bought it used, and I think that the previous owner had a cat and the cat got to it. It's a very nice size though (much bigger than this one). I was hoping that I could restore it, but I just don't think that I can. :( It is a nice-sized Coach, though. I also have a gray/black Coach purse that I might list that is bigger than this one, but smaller than the pilled-Coach purse I was talking about.

well, it is better to disclose everything. some people leave things out in their description, and then as a buyer, you get the surprise (it's not in perfect condition, and although little flaws, should have been mentioned in the first place). well, i was checking in, and i see that the bidding is going well for you. so i am cheering for you, that this coach bag gets high up there in credits. you deserve it- you are so nice- and you take the time to answer these comments- take care- and merry christmas to you and your family.

I totally agree! Well, thanks for the compliments. I find that Listia is a great way to procrastinate when I should be doing schoolwork (sometimes, when I'm working on something particularly boring, I hope that someone will leave a comment on one of my auctions so that I can take a small break LOL). I hope that you and your family have a Merry Christmas as well.

yes, i blocked her- she was really rude. i had lots of winners on the same auction, and had no complaints from them (so i know that it's not lame). my husband told me that i've had more problems here than with our joint account on e-bay, but i figure i get nice things here sometimes too (when i bid, i don't win much compared to how much i give away), and it helps clear my clutter. and there are some really nice people here too, so...keep on going. i've had a friend (a swap buddy on another site) that had a negative, and it's so sad, she cried. and from experience, she had lots of great stuff to offer. just goes to show that sometimes you can't please everyone. i don't want to scare you away; i just want you to be aware.

Yep, you are right. You definitely can't please everyone. And, I worry that people won't like what they won (for some reason that I can't foresee). So, I tend to overshare, rather than undershare.

yes, it can get bad, with the drama sometimes (but don't let it drag you down). i do love the support of the positive listians on here, though. the ones with the uplifting comments, the ones who spread cheer or something nice to say (ever heard you can catch more bees with honey than with vinegar?). i always try to offer help when i can- i don't tell people that their auctions are lame (someone told me that once- and she had 9 negatives on her account!!!). i like telling people GOOD LUCK.

What!?! Someone actually called your auction "lame"!?! That's so ignorant! I wouldn't even want someone like that bidding on my auction. I mean, you took the time to take pictures and list something (and, you probably bought or were gifted the item to begin with), and if S&H was free, then you're paying for that too! Why would you even bother commenting on an auction that you think is "lame"? What's the point? It's not like you made her visit your auction.... Did you hide her comment? I think that I would have left it up just to show everyone else what kind of a person she really is. Well, thank you for the kind words!

Hello. I am new to listia and can't figure out if I'm supposed to put the starting amount of credits or if I am supposed to accept anything I am given. Saw you write a lot so thought you might be kind enough to answer me. Thanks in advance,

Picture?type=square&access token=105469222550%7cd qfyki0ggnddypmnoq3ykmtsyq
I always put a starting amount of 100 credits for my auctions because, well, I always have free S&H (which means that I pay for it), so to me, whatever I give away is worth at least 100 credits. If someone isn't willing to give me at least 100 credits for something when I'm paying for the S&H, then I don't want to give it away. I hope that makes sense. But, you can start your auctions at whatever amount of credits you want 0, 13, etc., up to & including 100 credits. The amount of credits that you specify will be your starting amount. If you use a Get It Now (like a Buy It Now on e-bay), you will specify the amount of credits your item will go for. But, it will cost you 50 credits to list a GIN amount (which is refunded to you if someone uses it). Plus, the lowest GIN amount you can use is 2000 credits. And, if someone uses GIN on your auction, Listia takes 10% of the credits as a "fee". Personally, I never use GINs, unless someone specifically asks me to and I think that the amount is fair. Also, since you are new, you don't have the option to use a GIN until you get more experience points & badges. I hope this helps!

@ casp763: BTW, I think that it will match your purple socks because there are light, medium, and dark purples in the purse. I think that it would look really cute, actually. Sorry, but I forgot to answer the rest of your question.

Sorry, I ran out of room. Anyway, I can point out some of the highlights of this purse that shows it is a genuine Coach purse.

1. The zipper is stamped with YKK (although some fakes now have the stamp anyway) (please see pic #3).
2. The inner lining has a ribbed texture (see pics #8, 9, & 10).
3. The suede is really soft and the pony hair is genuine.
4. The leather Coach tag matches the purse's leather and the hardware matches (pics # 4 & 5).

This purse does not have a Coach creed or serial number patch because genuine Coach mini purses do not have this patch. It does have a "Made in China" tag (pic # 11) - real Coach purses are sometimes made in China. Please visit this website: http://www.squidoo.com/coachbagstl for more info. (This link is for informational purposes only and does not violate Listia's policies).

I LOVE the one that you have listed right now, but the credits are a little bit too high for me (I barely don't have enough credits to able to bid on it, and I'm sure that it will go up)! The reason why is because I just spent 44,444 credits on a Coach purse that I absolutely love! But, I am into trading (I have some incredibly fabulous Coach purses that I don't use too much).

OK, here is another Coach guide that you can use to authenticate a Coach purse (its an E-bay review guide, but it is referred to in The Purse Forum): http://reviews.ebay.com/BEST-WAYS-TO-DETECT-AUTHENTIC-COACH-vs-FAKE-COACH_W0QQugidZ10000000003643909 (again, you will most likely have to delete a space that Listia places in the URL for the URL to work in your browser. I never know where that space will fall until after I submit a comment or listing).
Dec 4th, 2011 at 5:58:55 PM PST by
Picture?type=square&access token=105469222550%7cd qfyki0ggnddypmnoq3ykmtsyq
For anyone who wants to look at the URL, you must remove the space in your address bar between the "this- coach" that Listia put in the URL. The URL will not work unless you remove the space (IDK why, but Listia sometimes puts a random space in URLs).
