barracudas are for desktop only and for the record laptop drives work in desktops there is little difference other than size..a "desktop drive" is 3.5 in a laptop drive is 2.5 inch remember that in the future

Desktop drives are too big for laptops.
You could put it in a USB case and use it as an external drive.
