I'd think it was made for drying small laundered items such as socks, underwear:), etc.. Its commonly used here, but not necessarily playful looking as this and I use one that is bigger and has more clips (more socks to hang!) This one is too nice for laundry! Maybe you can use it to hang jewelry, tickets, invites, or other things that you need in view so you won't lose them.
