This auction is for 30+ California Mixed Poppy Seeds. These are California poppy's, the easiest to grow. Very pretty with Mums If you plant the seeds in late summer, Planted now they will likley lie dornmant until conditions are just right in the spring. The seeds germinate at around 55F.
This isn't strictly cold stratification but it's a wonderfully mysterious method and should delight children. It works for California poppy's well. Pick the spot where you would like them to grow. When your first good snow comes, grab your seeds and scatter on top of the snow. They will go into the ground as the snow melts and you will have beautiful flowers in the spring. Be sure to pick a sunny location. A permenant place in the sun is best as they do not transplant well. They will come back for you every year.
