The listing, Cobra 29 CB Radio has ended.

i have a old Cobra 29 CB radio made in Japan.It has 23 channels and on back has the red and black wire but no fuse on line.It has some kind of mounting bracket on top,but it can be took off.I tried it out and it works, meter and channel dial lights up ,mod and tx lights work.it has a cobra mic.

the mounting bracket is only half . it is a slide in bracket the radio is about 35 yrs old and at that time it was a top of the line cb radio, i used to have one just like it

Thanks never seen a bracket like that, got radio from a friend had bracket on it when i got it.

When you tried it out, did you key the mic without the antenna hooked up to it? If so, for how long?

No I have a radio in my truck I hook it up to antenna in my truck

back in the 70's those radios where stolen alot and the bracket was designed to deter the theft these radios where highly prized and brought in big bucks from truckers and cb fans like i said at that time they were top of the line til cobra came out with the 40 channel

Does it have a built in speaker or would I have to buy an external speaker? And do you know how many watts it puts out? Thank you GREAT auction. Just what I want to get myself for Christmas! Fanned, bidding.

when you keyed up the mic did you do a breaker 19 radio check and did anyone respond and are you going to include the antenna

no antenna,did not ask for radio check i could here other radio and when i keyed up the needle swung and mod light came on .

you can key up the mic and the lights come on but to truely prove it works someone has to hear you and respond
