Description

The listing, STUNNING! 14K Gold Filled Diamond Cut Genuine Purple Amethyst Locket Necklace has ended.

I am giving away a 14K gold-filled diamond cut oval locket with a genuine purple amethyst mounted in it. The locket is new (never worn), and has only ever been removed from its black velvet jewelry box for the pictures. The jewelry box will be included with the necklace!

The amethyst is beautiful and 100% genuine. I also know that it is genuine because I professionally tested it with with a Presidium Gem Tester to ensure that it is genuine (please see the last pic). Genuine amethysts are found in the Quartz/Amethyst/Citrine family, and my tester placed the gemstone in the necklace within this category, which means it is a 100% genuine amethyst! The amethyst is about 5 mm long x 3 mm wide, which means that it is about 1/4 carats! I used this chart to determine the carat size: http://www.ajediam.com/Oval_diamond_sizes.html

The oval pendant is 1" long from tip to bale and 5/8" wide. The locket opens and closes easily (it snaps back into place easily & securely).

Comes from a smoke-free, hairy pet-free home (I have a snake and gecko, but they can do no harm : ) ).

I will only ship to addresses that have been verified via Listia's shipping address rules (check out Listia rules: Shipping Addresses section or go directly to the form at: http://www.listia.com/account/addresses) & that have been sent to me directly through Listia (& not through e-mail), which can be done after the auction ends. If you are not willing to send me your shipping address directly through Listia, then I cannot ship this to you.

Shipping to US will be done via First Class mail & includes tracking & is FREE.

I meant "necklace" in the last comment, not "stick"! LOL

Thanks! I thought that it was gorgeous too! I bought one for my mom to give to her for her birthday (amethyst is her birthstone), and I liked it so much that I thought that the Listia community would like it too. Oh, and I bought one for myself too. Recently, I've become slightly obsessed with the color purple, so I couldn't resist.

Hi If the bid goes really high would you consider adding a chain that is 10k gold or so...

It did not come with a 10K gold chain. This is all that I have! Plus, I think that this chain looks amazing with it (it really brings out the diamond accents).

Yes, the chain in the picture is 16" long (I just remeasured it to make sure).

Sure, no problem. I have added some more info. about this pendant in the comments, in case you are curious. The pendant (not the chain) is made by a company called Krementz. Just the pendant was actually quite expensive. Please see my comment. I will also add an update to the auction too. :) If you have any other questions, feel free to ask! (I tend to over explain things, though. So I hope that I don't give you information that you aren't interested in).

Continued: I doubt that you will receive the stick before Christmas, but I will try my best to send it to you as quickly as possible! It will be mailed to the winner right after the auction ends in the morning of Monday, Dec. 19. Please do not leave negative feedback if you do not receive it by Christmas (the post offices are really busy right now and mail is moving slower than usual).

The pendant is made by Krementz, but the chain is one that I added on to the pendant and it is not from Krementz. I just wanted to clarify....I keep referring to them both as Krementz because I'm not used to referring to pendants and chains separately. I'm used to referring to a necklace as a whole unit. It's a force of habit.

I think that it's a gorgeous necklace, and it was really expensive because the amethyst is genuine and very high quality and the pendant is genuine 14K gold-filled. It's a Krementz necklace (I probably should have mentioned that in the description, but I ran out of room. I'm sure that it's stamped as belonging to "Krementz" in the oval part of the locket, but I can't read it because the print is too small. I can't even read it with a magnifying glass (and my close-up eyesight is really good)! The chain did not come with the pendant (I purchased it separately because I thought that it looked so pretty with the pendant and I needed a chain. It's stamped as "Korea". The chain was kind of a challenge to get on the necklace, though, because the necklace loop is so incredibly small)). Search for "Krementz amethyst necklace" in Amazon to see how much they normally cost (they are kind of expensive, especially if they are brand new like this necklace). Here is a little information about the Krementz jewelry line: http://jacksonjewels.com/Reference/Jewelry_Companies_J-L.htm (search for "Krementz" in the link). Notice that Krementz is currently considered a mid to high-end jewelry line that sells their jewelry to Goldman and Tiffany & Co. I got a really good deal on it...buy 3, get 1 free. I have one more, but I will probably be giving it to one of my best friends for Christmas. We shall see....

I meant the "diamond cut" accents in the gold. There are no diamonds in this pendant. The gold is diamond cut on the pendant, so it's really shiny! I hope that makes sense. I'm not trying to confuse anyone intentionally. And, the chain is really shiny. So, it really brings out the diamond cut gold accents in the pendant :)

Continued: The locket is stamped in the inside of the loop for the chain. I think that it says 14KGF, but I can't really read it (the writing is incredibly small), and it was impossible for me to take a legible picture of it. It doesn't really matter what it says anyway. I know that the locked is gold-filled (not just gold-plated) because I professionally tested it. You can see the results of the test in the 2nd to last pic. The pic shows a brownish/purplish circle on the testing strip, which indicates that the necklace is gold-filled (it was kind of difficult for me to test). The chain is 16" long. I do not believe that it is real gold-plated because it is not stamped as such. I tested it with my gold tester, and it did not indicate that it was real gold-plated.

Thanks! I fanned you back. I'm going to be listing a lot more things after Christmas (I'm going away for Christmas/New Years, so all my auctions have to end before I leave). But, when I get back, I will be listing a ton of stuff (I have too much stuff...especially purses and jewelry).

I'm giving my necklace like this to my mom for Christmas too (I bought one for her). Technically, it will be her birthday gift, but since I won't be seeing her on her birthday, it's going to be a Christmas/birthday gift (I got her another Christmas gift too). I'm not 100% sure if it will make it to the winner in time for Christmas (the auction ends on Dec. 18th), but I will ship it out to the winner on Dec. 18th at 7:00 p.m. (assuming that the winner sends me his/her address as soon as the auction ends), so it probably will make it in time (it really depends on where the winner lives in relation to Colorado).
