Up for auction are five envelopes of souvenirs from a trip to Gettysburg, PA, in the 1990s. The lot consists of:
*Antiqued reproductions of Original Confederate Currency. There are two sets, "A" and "B". Different currency in each set.
*Gettysburg Battlefield Map from July 1-2-3, 1863.
*Civil War Battlefield Map, 1861-1865.
*Weapons of the Civil War.
All issued by Historical Documents Co, which reproduced them on antiqued parchment paper that looks and feels old. The three folded pieces were photographed under glass, as I believe they are meant to be framed to display.
The currency reproduced is $100 Virginia, $100 Mississippi, $5 South Carolina Cotton Planters, $5 Texas, $1 North Carolina and $1 Arkansas. These were all 1862 issues.
Also was $100 Louisiana, $2 Tennessee Bank of Chattanooga, $1 Florida, all 1863 issues. Then $100 Alabama, $100 Georgia, and $500 Confederate States of America in 1864'
