I bought one of these once (not the same one though), but they didn't work properly. I plugged it in my cellphone and then put in my 3.5mm earbuds, but the sound only came out from one side (one ear). Will this do the same? Is there some way you can make sure it won't? Thanks

What U had was a mono adapter. This one is a STEREO adapter allowing both channels to come through. You can identify this by the number of black insulators on the chrome plug in jack. Thnx sunnymini, Chuck

Hey Sunny if for ANY reason u find this is not what U expecyed just ask for return of credits. This IS a stereo jack and so will reproduce both left & right channels
