You can rub them gently together,or for me i gently run my teeth over them,if they are rough,kinda gritty like fine sand paper they are real,faux are smooth!

If they came from QVC,they would probably be freshwater pearls,and look like what they call buttons!A round but a little on the flat side! Or could be shell pearls,which are man made,crushed shell,molded together, polished!Or cultured,man puts round object inside farmed clam,Later,it's a pearl!!Sorry my favorite gem!!
