Description
The listing, Wedding Dress has ended.
One once and dry cleaned. This dress is about a size 20 so it is plus sized. The veil is not included. It is a very nice completely white dress. No tears or stains are on it. It has been in my closet since 2006 when I got married. I do not need it any more and will be glad to give it to you for your wedding needs.
Questions & Comments
this dress would work perfect for my daughter she got engaged and we thought we would have a couple yrs before the ceremony but her father had 3 heart attacks and 4 stent put in we have been told that he probably only has 3-6 months to live. SO we are looking for a dress she can wear so that her father can walk her down the isle and see her be married. Thank you We live in michigan
It is my sole opinion that cherrybear2000 should be the winner of this gorgeous gown, but that goes without saying fellow listian bidders, after all it is a bidding website
aww I'm sorry to hear that cherrybear2000 I really loved this dress and I hope that your daughter's big day has her dad included. Congrats on her big day.
I haven't had any alterations made to the dress I only wore it once (other than to see if it would fit) and it was very nice it hasn't been worn since 2006 when I got married.
I would love to have this dress. I'm getting married but can't afford a real wedding dress. is it a true size 20? and can it be sized down? fanned and watching!!!
Please everyone remember this is an auction and not to be mean but the dress will go to the highest bidder. It is a sad situation for anyone going though a hard time and if I had more dresses I would put them up but its the only one I have. Other suggestions I have if your looking to save on a dress is go to a second hand store, the salvation army, or goodwill. This dress was purchased at a second hand store and it is very lovely. I hope that no one will be offended by that and take it to heart that what ever happens here is only fair to play by the rules listed on the site. Thanks to everyone for bidding.
I agree with you Cedarran....... Things are tough everywhere... Thats why several of us who have been "competing" so to speak have started helping each other. I have a woman I met on here that auctioned all her wedding items. I watched her dress go for about 5k. She made a GIN for me for her bouquet and even hand made my beautiful bridal jewelry. (And is working on the rest of my flowers) NOW she is starting all over because they reconciled....lol Its like this...IF i find things that I love and dont have the points I automatically ship her a link or call her on the phone to say HEY look... Last night she won a gorgeous diamond wedding choker set that I told her about and she got her dress that way too....
Lol, you guys are so funny. This dress is gorgeous. I wish the best to all that bid. I'm still working on the credits to bid this dress before tomorrow, as I have a sad case too and am trying to win this for a friend needless to say. Regardless, I wish everyone the best of luck, great list!
I may be the highest bidder at this time, BUT...I'm a woman of integrity so I will step up and say that I have not seen anywhere that a person can't "gift" an item they won to another listia user. My daughter lives in Virginia and I live in Ohio. She has won items 4 my wedding and sent them to me and I have won items 4 my grandchildren and sent them to her. There is NOTHING "wrong" about that. SO, if you really want to win an auction (even this one) to gift to someone... All you have to do is add another address to your account. I have 2 listed on mine 4 that reason. (The way I see it is that IF I get outbid, there will always be another dress because Listia is VERY popular. I just hope Karma allows me to get ONE before my wedding date....lol)
WOW! This size is hard to find! Beautiful! I'm pulling for the lady whose father needs to walk her down the aisle, mine didn't...so, i think that's very touching! I wish you were allowed to use your credits to bid for other people...i would bid for her! :)...anyways, i am going to put my dress on here too! :0 Bless you all!
The chance of ANY wedding item let alone a dress going 4 minimul points around Listia is slimmmmmm to none! A few friends and I have been at this for months and I have yet to see a actual wedding dress go for less than 4000. Thats why I am still looking because I've had to build the points to get the dress cause I keep getting outbid....... (I've lost at least 6 dresses since I started....)
@cbus, you can start it at the lowest you're willing to accept. Just click on Advanced on the listing page. Otherwise, yes, you could end up shipping a valuable item in a Priority box for very few credits (spoken from experience ;-)).
I didn't want to step on any toes but I have been saving for months for a dress. Each time I've bid on one I've lost it at the last min. So.... with that in mind.... IF I win this gown, get it and it does not fit, I will contact those who bid on it from the highest to the lowest and offer him/her the 1st chance at getting it with a GIN. The GIN will be NOT be any more than I pay for it.
