I have that exact same necklace that I got from JCPenney or Robinson's May (I can't remember which) & the package said real sterling silver with a piece of genuine diamond in the center of the star! It costed $80.00! The silver loop that holds the star to the chain should be stamped 925 CHINA & the tiny flat silver square shaped link that holds the chain & clasp together should be stamped 925 ITALY. It's very tiny & hard to see. You might want to check it out, because if it is, your necklace will be worth quite a bit more! :)

Also check if there is a hole in the back of the star in the direct center. If there is, that is because the real diamond has to have a hole wear it can "breath"...all diamonds are like that. You'll see that if you have a diamond mounted in a ring and it has a hole directly beneath it.

I think this is the same necklace. I looked at all the pics and examined mine thoroughly. I think this is just way too good of a deal for me to pass up! :)
