Compaq Presario 12XL410 Laptop - Still Going Strong - Please Read! - Used - Good Condition.

I have been using this laptop for several years. Finally got a new one and decided to give this one away. Everything works - no cracked screen or missing keys. Includes a bag, battery and power / charger. Battery will need to be replaced soon - has only 1 hour or so life. It may be the original battery.

The only issue is that once in a while it makes a loud "machine gun" sound for lack of a better word - not sure why. It goes away just as easy as it starts. Usually if I just move around it will stop. Also one minor crack near hinge but doesn't effect performance or opening and closing top. It also has some scratches on the case - to be expected on something this old.

Currently running Windows Millenium Edition with 256k memory. It does NOT have Wi-FI - I have always used a usb Wi-FI card. I recommend you get an Airlink 101 because those still work on Windows 98 - (unless you upgrade it to XP). I think you can get them for around $20. It also has a PCMCIA slot - I will throw in a RJ-45 PCMCIA card for you.

It's a basic laptop. I used it to just get online while traveling, and handling some letters, etc.

I have set what I consider a very low GIN to move it fast.

Although I represent it it in good condition and working, your receiving it AS IS WHERE IS with not guarantees or warranties. It is quite old and anything can happen with electronics as you know.
