The listing, NEW Windows XPpro SP3 oem COA sticker and install CD *read it all first* has ended.

READ IT ALL PLEASE - You are basically getting the COA sticker (unused) and install key - The CD will not read or has so many errors it will not install, so I gave up - BUT the key and COA are brand new still so put them to good use! I always ship for free.....

michail960 the code will work u need to make sure its for xp home or pro u need to make sure the code is for that type of xp when it goes through setup call the microsoft and thay will give i the product key for full free all u need to say is ur system had crashed and computer did not come with a backup disk so u had to install it and thay will give u a key to type in but make sure u fully install it thats what i did

Just an FYI folks...... older DELL reinstall discs will work on ANY pc if you already have an existing COA/key - Some of the newer HP reinstall disc are locked only to HP/compaq using a ping to identify the system is genuine HP. Make sure you read item descriptions if you bid on any reinstall discs..... if the person does not know if they will work or not for any PC, you may want to pass - BUT I have used every DELL disc up to and including WINDOWS7pro on any PC with no issues..... Been doing this for over 15 years, MS partner, MS oe system builder, MS MAR/RRP certified.....

So seller i have a dell latitude cpi d300xt i do have two dell reinstall cd,s in grat shap so as i hear that dell reinstall cd,s for microsoft windows don,t need the key code or ask for it ????

They do need a code, but will auto install it on any DELL machines from the disc and will auto activate when on-line too, so you are good to go.

i have a old dell gx1 tower that had wins98 on the hdd.put my reinstall dell xp pro. service pack1a disk into the cd rom drive and download xp onto my gx1.didn't ask for no keycodes wait loading.i guess that what u would call a upgrade.

The DELL disc will auto activate with it;s own keyset so you would not need one....Dell did something right there! =)

Is there any way to put microsoft windows xp on a hard drive from another laptop in a dell will it work i don,t have a cd rom drive yes or no seller???? any way to make it work.

More than liley, no as each PC has specific drivers to make them run.... the exception being to put JUST XP on a formatted drive with NO DRIVERS - Then put it in the DELL and see if it fires up... if it's good, then install the DELL drivers and you are good to go.

So the cd microst windows xp still come with it hopes so seller i may be able to fix it if not to badly scracthed as the info is not on the plastic its under the lable there the info is as i found a disk cd aol in the cold and the lable and all on one side came of ok so i know this to be true.

There is no scratches on this disc - it's just a "soft burn" so resurfacing it may not help either ----- but maybe it will -----

it's OEM, but I don't see the original manufacturer on the disc. OEM for what Brand? I am building a P4 system and want XP on it - I have a DELL OEM disc that should work, but I'm not totally sure if the Product Key I have will. Depending on how the installation and Genuine Verification goes, I may want this!!!

As long as yopur DELL disc is the same OS as your key, it will work - when you go to activate it, it will say your key is wrong (it's using the DELL auto activate key) So just retype your key into the spaces provided and you are good to go......
