The pigments are used as eyeshadow and eyeliner.

According to MidnightGarcia: "swatching is what some bloggers do to show the product...they take some out...spread it on their skin so you can see the color against skin...then take a picture. Most bloggers end up getting rid of most of the stuff they test and review."
