I am new to Lista and still trying to learn my way around. What is the value of a credit? I ask because Lista sells their credits 10 for $1.00 and that would make the GIN price of 2931 equal $293.10 I'm truly not trying to be problematic I just don't understand to value of a credit.

Credits are very expensive to buy on Listia, 10 cents a piece, so GIN of 2931 would be $29.31 ... LOL.

But it is MUCH cheaper to list a gift card. Although prices vary, most $5 gift cards (to a major retailer) get somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,500 credits, a $10 gift card sells for about 5,000 credits, etc.

So, that's what I am comparing my GIN prices to ... what people would pay, on LIstia, for a gift card. I know it is confusing, I hope that helps!

You just have to keep on working toward a good strategy for Listia. I suggest watching other auctions and types of items that do well and see if you have any similar items you are not using, or can buy cheaply somewhere. Also, to maximize your credit earnings, your listings have to be good ... good photos, good descriptions, free shipping, fast response to comments, etc.

So sorry but I am confused and maybe my math is off but if $1.00 buys 10 the $10.00 buys 100 so the decimal is only one point over 10.0 equals 100 credits it is just that the last diget is dropped see what I mean. I was pretty good in math back in the dark ages but if $10.00 buys 100 credit the the decimal point is only one diget over

Yeah, you're right. After I posted that I realized you were right to begin with! So, as you can see, gift cards are a ton cheaper than Listia credits!

You have to sell stuff to get credits. A lot of people sell gift cards because it is less expensive than buying them from Listia. That's why you see so many gift cards on Listia. It's one way to get credits relatively quickly.
