This auction is for two sets of very old covered buttons, totaling 47 buttons in all. The fabric used to cover the buttons is of an unknown content. I would describe the colors as cobalt and medium-dark gray. The buttons are 1/2" in diameter.

An unusual detail of the buttons is that there is not a plastic or metal shank on the buttons. The "shank" is made of the same fabric as the buttons. I think this was a manufacturing practice during World Wars when metals were conserved for military uses.

My guess is that these are from the 1920's-30's because of the graphic on the card and the 10 cent price hand written on the front of the cards,

There is much wear and discoloration on the cards as the photos show. All the buttons are in perfect condition.
