I do understand as I too am poor and have stopped listing books because the bids I got were not worth what the books cost me, plus the shipping, and Listians don't bid as much as they do when the shipping is free, generally. It's rather a shame that one can't get their money's worth on Listia. If we could open our auctions with a higher bid amount we could auction better stuff, rather than list it on eBay or Etsy or a zillion other auction sites. I like Listia, the owners and other Listians but spending much time here is fun but not very productive. I have so many things to do I've had to spend a lot less time at Listia, just not cost effective. And the opening bid maximum is so low all one can find to bid on is mostly junk; no one wants to lose their shirt and I can't blame them. I know one can start at a higher bid amount if one pays Listia a tone of credits and that's too risky altogether! So, I understand your situation and will happily pay your shipping even tho I may have a hard time with it. It isn't that big a deal and I don't know how I got off on so many tangents! :))
