Questions & Comments
Pay no attention to pinkbuggy- she sells piercing needles to minors to pierce themselves which violates state and federal laws- and she's mad because I commented on it- as an adult who is concerned about the ignorance of people who insist on the purchase things like these from total strangers. If you want a piercing you should go to a shop operated by a professional- not try it yourself by getting supplies from an unethical person like pinkbuggy.
A registered nurse who has taken care of one of the worst infections ever seen in 30 years due to a "home piercing" is not crazy. I will be glad when the law finally prohibits the sale of items without proof of having a license to use them, making it illegal for people to just buy stuff over the internet from people like you.
Can I please say that I was 17 when I almost died because I had bought a piercing set off ebay and had my boyfriend pierce my labret in a hotel bathroom? I almost bled to death..
I don't see why you can't say anything you want to say dear. I took care of a young patient several years ago who did a home piercing that got septic with infection and the kid nearly died. I wish sites like this would ban people from selling kits- it's something I can't imagine carrying on my conscious not knowing for certain who was actually going to use it- and we all know there are people who legally can purchase the item and WILL buy it for minors. As a medical professional - a registered nurse- I MUST advocate against products such as these because it's always the innocent, naive, ignorant, and helpless that get hurt. If SOME PEOPLE had a conscious they would feel that way too- regardless of what their profession is- but especially those who are trained and licensed to do piercings - they know how dangerous it can be. Why they would think it OK to sell them on the internet is just crazy. Thank you for sharing your personal story. I hope someone else will STOP thinking about piercing themselves because of your influence and go to an authorized licensed shop. God Bless you.... I'm so glad you didn't die.
