Ferrotype or Tin Type Photo of young woman. This type of photo became popular during the civil war and lasted into the early 1900's. They were produced with a wet collodion process in which the photo sensitive chemicals were put on a thin piece of sheet metal. Once exposed that would become the image. There were no negatives involved. Therefore no two Tintypes were exactly alike. Free Shipping in the U.S. as always
