This Officially Sanctioned 1/5" bronze medal is a replica of the Congressional Gold Medal presented posthumously to the family of Charles Schultz, the creator of the “PEANUTS®” Comic Strip.
It is sealed in the original cellophane packaging as sent by the U.S. Mint.
The obverse of the medal features a portrait of Charles M. Schulz with the inscription "By Act of Congress 2000" centered along the lower border.
The reverse features the "Peanuts" characters in the center with the wording "Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, Lucy..." centered along the top and the wording "...how can I ever forget them." centered at the bottom.
