Hi sorry to get back to you so late since the auction is closing in a couple hours...it is 13 inches from side to side across the top. It does stretch well, too. This means about double I think (26"), which would be a size 2 or 3, I believe? It fits very well on me and I'm always between a 1 and 3. Oh and there is no zipper! You just slip it on :)

I'm 5'4" myself- it is short, no doubt! The back falls just below my butt, unless I pull it down a bit. If you're more modest, this is more like a sexy novelty skirt to wear for your boyfriend/hubby if you're taller!

in case any one is wondering- it is the black in all the photos except the second one- in the second one the flash just made it look gray black. it is a dark black black! lol
