Description

The listing, Giant White Bird of Paradise**THEY'RE BACK!!** has ended.

I am SO glad to have these to offer again. My plant has been growing beautifully and re-producing...so I wanted to share.!
This is a gorgeous plant that gets VERY large! Also known as The Travelers palm. As you can see in the second pic the flowers are over a foot long and a beautiful blue and white in color. These can be started indoors and then moved outside once they have outgrown their containers. They need a sandy well-drained soil. They are a tropical plant, but will grow in colder climates...they just wont get as large. Can also be a houseplant in front of a nice sunny window. I never use poison on any of my plants. Bidder will receive 5 seeds from my backyard plant. Thanks for looking and Happy bidding.

are these easy to germinate and start? does the plant have to huge before it sprouts any flowers? Ive started a few plants from seeds but not all are successful I know some are harder than others just wondered if you had any experience starting these from seed... do you have any rooted starts you might be listing?

Hello--Honestly I've never tried to germinate them---I have a plant in my backyard that was here when I moved in. As for a rooted one---I tried to dig up a baby from around the bottom, however the roots are all so entangled with the momma plant it was impossible to separate them...sorry. Thanks for asking. ---Anne---
