Hi, when you pre chill the seeds on what surface or container do you lay them out in? Do you put them on a moist towel in the fride or the freezer? Thanks! Watching

No, you never want to put seeds on the freezer wet or in wet paper towel. Put them in a regular paper envelope, paper bag or even in a dry paper towel in a zip lock. You can also put them in some dirt in a zip lock, paper bag, plastic container with a lid. Or you can leave them outside for the season that reflects the actual conditions that they grow or grew in.. This is what I do. You can use the refrigerator or the freezer method. I hope this helps.

Okay, thanks! But for how long? I live in Florida and I can never ever grow columbine or poppies from seed. They have to be stratified and it never gets cold here. :( But I did hear you have to put them in the cool.

They both tend to like the cooler temps. Put them in a plastic container and put them outside for the winter and then plant them then or you can plant these now and leave them like a seed that has fallen from the plant just recently.
