Sunflowers can be direct seeded in the garden, once all danger of frost is past, or they can be started indoors 3-4 weeks before transplanting.
Choose a sunny spot and dig into the soil thoroughly. Plant seeds 1 inch deep.
Keep soil moist until seeds sprout in 7-10 days.
