If your using backed up data from Retrospect to recover from a hard drive failure, etc.and have OEM installed operating system, make sure to reformat any new hard drives on the desktop "before" setting up the software.

OEM generally means "original equipment manufacturer." Sometimes it is referred to as "bulk packed", "white box", "brown box" and "gray market".

It's recommended that after a hard drive failure you have all operating system as well as hardware drivers installed on the new hard drive before installing Dantz Retrospect Express Backup 6.5.
