22" Hallmarked "H" or "H H" Chain, 1.25 x 0.75 x 0.6" Pendant with Cameo carved in white, translucent stone on onyx backing. Carving is raised (1mm maybe 2),intricate-especially the lady's hair. Large, thick bale. Back and sides of Pendant and Bale have multiple small crystals-may be precious or semi precious stones mid-line front and back and where bale meets pendant-these stones are in 4 prong settings.
Chain is multiple strand, entwined in a spiral pattern for light reflection/ brilliant effect. Clasp connector on Lobster side has "H" on one side, and "A925" in oval indentation on the other. The clasp-open side, has an "H" on one side and "925" in oval indentation on the other. Pendant is pretty heavy. Inside rim of bale, is "A925" on a slightly raised squared edged area. Entire pendant intricately detailed,The bale itself is 0.6" x 0.3" x 0.3" with 1/8" thick rim-where stamp is. See pics 4, 6 & 8 for bale stamp and pic 5 and 7 for chain stamp.
GORGEOUS piece of jewelry. This piece came from my grandmother's estate-she always wore nice jewelry, and if it was made in her time, I'd guess it was in the mid 1900's. It could be older, though. I've researched the Hallmarks H and H H (since there is an H on either side) and came up with quite a few possibilities. I'm open to advise, if you're familiar with this particular Hallmark! =)
