Description

The listing, Remote Keyless Entry KeyChain Fob Cover for Ford or Lincoln Used has ended.

My car was totalled in an accident a couple of weeks ago and I managed to save the key fob. If your car is a Ford or Lincoln with four buttons and you need a new cover (maybe someone has a cracked one, etc) this would be a good replacement. It includes the key ring, the front and back cover and the rubber insert with the buttons on it. The unlock button is partially worn off at the top.

Note: You would need the internal computer chip programmed to your car for the remote to work but you can transfer this piece to the replacement cover.

That's so cool, and I have the battery listed separately if you need a battery. You will still need to have the computer chip that's programmed to your car for it to work so you can maybe contact your dealership and inquire about it. They are each programmed for the specific car. This would be great for someone whose case or cover was cracked or broken but they still had the computer component inside. Does that make sense?

I'm a ma'am, that's ok, just wanted to make sure you knew. I'm sure there's someone out there who might think any one would open any car, etc. I see the mechanic part of your name now, you must know about cars?!!

you can press lock and unlock at the same time for 3-10 seconds. (depending on the manufacturer) to reset it to most vehicles of the same make and about the same year. (within about 3-5 years)

That's good information, I didn't know that. For everyone who might be bidding, I've already thrown away the computer chip that was inside it so you won't be able to do this. It's just the cover and the ring and the rubber insert with the button pics on it.
