Nikko Blue Hydrangeas will be blue in acid soil, pink in alkaline! Sometimes purple when the acidity shifts! White in neutral. Probably hard to find that fine balance.These plants will grow as tall as 5 feet, maybe even taller. The plant I pruned was as tall as I! Which is over 5 feet. It grows 1 foot per year I believe.
Mulch so the mulch is 3 inches above ground to keep it warm enough for winter!
I hear urine is a nice fertilizer. Someone said they peed on a tree every day and it grew 2 times faster than the tree next to it, which was the same size as it at one point.
So maybe this'll make hydrangeas explode in growth! Try it!
