Thank you. I'm sad to see them go, but I need to make room for more.

Yes. You can use salt. Just rub it into it like you're washing it. I've mixed lemon juice with the salt and scrubbed it on. You'll have a lemoney stone but it works lol. (Not TONS of lemon juice) I do have a few different stones, but I've collected Selenite little by little, toss out and replace. I just love being surrounded in it. :P I don't do anything much with it. It's quite a stone. Don't have to touch it for it to have an effect

by it* rather. I just learned recently that it comes in HUGE pieces also. I found a website that builds furniture with it. Gorgeous

The Selenite shown here looks like the type that grows like "petals" in a flower or a star shape. This is also known as "Gypsum" and can also be found in some areas here in the US. You can wash them without fear of destroying them as long as it's not prolonged or soaked, but they won't ever become completely white as the soil/dirt/sand is inside the crystals as they form. Beautiful stones though! :-)

That's white selenite, from Poland if I remember correctly, that was shaved into sheets.

I guess it's the lighting or something. The top stones look grayish, purpleish. Unless the Selenite is the white slab there. lol.

The white slab is celestite. Selenite shows a lot of the marks after being cut into sheets because it's such a soft stone. They are somewhat grey/brown tinted, probably from dirt. I haven't washed them because selenite can dissolve in water and I didn't want to take any chances.
